Dear Sue and Doug,
I wanted to share with you a bit of yesterday with our new target/stand at my parents’ home.
One of the reasons I wanted to start archery a few years back was due to the fact that I grew up always in awe of a very special man, my Dad. In his day he earned many trophies as an Expert A Archer. This was written on the trophies that I would look at as a young girl..back when trophies really meant an accomplishment. He is now 88, can hardly stand and has severe dementia. When he saw us putting up the target he became overjoyed with excitement and like a kid on Christmas morning continuously asked if he could try. Dave and I helped both my Dad and stepmom as they both took their best shot at the Target. Words can’t accurately express how special this moment was to see him with a bow in his hands. He also witnessed and commented on both Dave and I scoring some “10,s”. He was so happy. A great memory that you helped in the making.
Thank you to both of you for providing archery for all of us. You both have made this world a better place.
With respect and appreciation,
Sandra and Dave Aultman
